Is jumping into the mud 10 times more important than solar energy?

All the way around the house, I think about that at the election of the best homepage, a site about people jumping in full clothes into the mud has 10 times more votes than I.

  1996-12-19:

Karin want's to move from her parents house to her new apartment. I thought this is 50% from my Citroen Jumper's 12m³ load volume. Wrong! She has 2 times the whole load volume to move.

At last her bed. Special screws and no proper tools. So it is impossible to disassemble the bed. Only chance: we put the whole bed as is into the Jumper. The cargo room is 335 cm long, but a settee is mounted. Only 200 cm from the settee to the back door. The bed is with the metal frame 204 cm. It is not possible to close the back door.

So I drive with the open back door the 2 km to her new apartment. Her new apartment is in one of some just finished houses. The way to the house is only 240 cm broad. Left and right from way is deep mud. It is not possible to go with the bed on the way beside the car. So I have to park 200 m distant where the broad street ends.

We go with her bed the last 200 m to the house. The metal frame of the bed is very high and we fail to move into the staircase. Only chance we have to move through the mud around the house to the broad door from the apartment to the garden.

I have only light shoes. She goes in front. My first step in the mud and my right shoe remains in the mud. Second step and my left shoe remains in the mud. I have to go the rest of the way around the house though the mud in my sox.

All the way around the house, I think about the election of the best homepage at Europe@home and that a site about people jumping in full clothes into the mud has 10 times more votes than my homepage. Whille I go through the cold mud, I decide to write to all newgroups about solar energy a homily about the importance from solar energy sites and jump into the mud sites and why a jump in the mud site has 10 times more votes than my site.
