A energy thieve in a hospital

Suddenly 3 people working in the hospital surround me. HO: What are You doing here? RM: I am... HO: And what are You doing with the power socket?

  1995-01-13:

My old aunt lives in Vienna. She has a problem with her leg and I accompany her in the ambulance to the hospital. In the hospital my aunt is brought from one room for treatments to an other room for treatments. I have to wait all the time for the results.

Boring? No! As usual, I have my Backpack with me. 11 telephone calls and a lot of other work. The only problem: In the waiting room are all the seats on the right side and the only power socket on the left side. To far away to connect my Backpack with the power socket and to use the seat.

I am low on batteries charge after 3 hours work. I go with my Backpack to the other wall and connect the Backpack with the wall socket.

Suddenly 3 people working in the hospital surround me.

HO: What are You doing here?
RM: I am waiting for my old aunt. She is in one of the treatment rooms
HO: And what are You doing with the power socket?
RM: I can not waste so much time. I have to work all the time. Now my batteries are discharged and I need the power.
HO: You tell us that You wait for Your old aunt. But how should we know that You tell us the truth? Maybe You go from hospital to hospital in order to steal electrical power!

I begin to compute my energy consume:
20 W for the computer and 20 W for the battery charger times 5 hours gives 200 Wh.
One kWh makes in Vienna about 2.50 ATS equals $0.25. I drag my moneybag and take 0.50 ATS equals $0.05 out of it.

RM: I need about 40 W. Here is my payment for the next 5 hours electrical energy.
